Hathmore Technologies, LLC made a big transition in 2009. After 30 years of saving energy under their belt, Hathmore has officially relocated into their new headquarters and professional training facility in Independence, MO.

From the beginning through most of 2008, Hathmore's primary focus was energy efficiency consulting services... helping home owners and businesses find ways to conserve energy. But, with the resurgence of interest in energy, coupled with the Obama administration's stimulus package with major energy incentives, the opportunity and need for training of energy professionals emerged.
This is an opportunity Hathmore would not pass up. With the enormous knowledge base of owner/manager Sharla Riead, husband Ken Riead, and a well seasoned staff, Hathmore was uniquely well positioned to understand and create their new training arm, Accurate Rater Network. (see accompanying article on green training)
The only thing to do was to find the perfect training facility.
The next thing to do was to show it off with a couple of Open Houses in early April. So on April 8 and 9, Hathmore opened its doors to its invitees. It took a lot of preparation to get their new digs ready. Hathmore staff did much of the tenant finishes themselves. (see more photos of staff working)
For training, their new facility meets all the requirements... hotels a stone's throw from training, plenty of restaurants, and right off the interstate. (see training facility and surrounding amenities) Their first trainings began in February, 2009. With more and more energy classes added, Hathmore has their work cut out.
Hathmore used their Open House to see old friends and make new ones, but also to get ideas from those who attended on how Hathmore and other energy related businesses should go about to create the ideal environment where the new energy awareness could be effectively directed to make best use of financial and human resources. Below are some of the ideas that were generated in the Open House brainstorming exercise as best steps for our energy world were discussed.
